In late 2021 Bluepha and Helian (brandowner of PHAradox) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the intent that Helian Polymers will start importing and using Bluepha's unique PHBH based building blocks for developing specific PHA based compounds.
On January 1st 2022 Bluepha broke ground on its first commercial PHA plant in Binhai County, Jiangsu Province, China. Covering 86,000 sqm, Bluepha's PHA plant is located in Coastal Industrial Park of Jiangsu Binhai Economic Delepment Zone, with an annual PHA capacity of 25,000 tones. The whole plant will take 2 phases. The first phase is designed with 5,000 tonnes per annum PHA resin capacity, and will be completed within the end of 2022.
