about eurostars
Helian Polymers, through its PHAradox brand, is a proud partner of Eurostars’ NextPHAse project. Together with Genecis we aim to develop PHA based formulations applications for the plastics industry. Working together we are going to produce and utilize novel PHA building blocks from organic waste streams, to develop novel bioplastic resin formulations and high value applications.

THE PROGRAMME
the collaboration
The NextPHAse project is funded by the Eurostars programme. It is a bilateral material development project by Canada based Genecis and Helian Polymers, through its PHAradox brand.
In the project we work together to develop sustainable materials. The full title is: “NextPHAse: Introducing functional PHA based formulations and applications to the plastics industry.”
Eurostars is a joint programme between Eureka and the European Commission for SME-driven international R&D projects. The programme was initiated to enhance the growth of R&D-performing SMEs through its support of projects whose results can be introduced into the market within two years of completion. Over the last decade and a half, it has become one of the most successful international SME funding programmes and one of only a few close-to-market collaborative R&D programmes that spotlights SMEs
